Six Flags Elitch Gardens

Elitch Gardens were established in 1889 and in 1995 it moved to a new site. It is divided into two sections, the amusement rides and Island Kingdom Water Park. One ticket gets you into both sections. Its 45- plus rides and attractions include a 67- seat, 1925 carousel, musical revues and gardens. Their signature rides include:
Flying Coaster, where passengers ride abreast, giving everyone unobstructed, views of downtown Denver.

Besides the more than 100 rides, there are numerous shows, shopping outlets and eateries to keep the family entertained. In addition, in the summer you can alternate between the numerous roller coasters and the neighboring mammoth water park.
If you plan to enjoy the water park, bring towels and dry clothing, and take advantage of the lockers located throughout the park. The season begins the last weekend in April and ends the first weekend in November with limited operating hours in April, early May and September through November.

Admission is USD32.99 for adults and USD19.99 seniors (55- 69) and kids under 48"; Ages 70+ and under 3 enter free. Hours fluctuate during May so call ahead for the schedule.
