Golden Gate Canyon State Park covers an area of 14,000 acres. It is roughly 30 miles west of Denver. It provides facilities for extreme outdoor enthusiasts, weekend frolickers, and leaf peepers alike. Unpaved hiking trails range from easy to difficult and can also be used for both mountain biking and horseback riding. Their mission is to provide a spectrum of safe quality outdoor recreation experiences for the visitors.

Another place of attraction is Golden Gate Canyon State Park which is an ideal place for hiking, picnicking and camping among dense forest, rocky peaks and aspen- filled meadows. The mountain splendor of Golden Gate Canyon's wildflower meadows, glorious autumn colors and spectacular view from the famous Panorama Point of over 100 miles of the Continental Divide make the park ideal for sightseers and photographers

The park has also hosted countless weddings and other special celebrations at Panorama Point. Reverend's Ridge Campground has campsites for trailers, pick- up campers and tents, flush toilets, showers and laundry facilities.

Aspen Meadows is a tents- only campground. Facilities include water pumps, vault toilets, and designated campsites with table, fire rings, and high use tent pads.
