Rock Island

Rock Island is a fabulous club off 15th St. between Wazee and Wynkoop. They offer a variety of music and flavor for your weekend.

With a history that spans three decades, Rock Island is one of Denver's longest- lasting night spots. It's not just long- lived - - the Rock's been one of the Mile High City's premier night spots during its lengthy tenure, due in part to its ability to redefine itself to suit the times. These days, that means putting on an occasional rock show, screening an independent film about once a month and throwing a hyped- up special party every few months.

Adorned with oversized "artistic" bugs crawling the walls, this long- lived Denver hot spot offers dancers a place to gyrate and fling themselves about on a large, throbbing dance floor. Terrific lighting and a dimmer lower level also provoke club- goers to check the place out. The club attracts a mostly 21+ crowd, but some nights are designated for a younger set. At times, other entertainments are sponsored, including cabaret acts, live performances, and film nights.
