Coach Shanahan pays for playing by own rules

Denver coach Mike Shanahan was fined ,000 for announcing that he supported running back Travis Henry's appeal of a positive drug test because Henry had passed a lie-detector test administered by the Broncos. Henry won the appeal earlier this week, but the NFL was unhappy that Shanahan had created his own process for deciding whether his player was guilty or not.
