The very existence of the Oktoberfest began in Munich on 17th October, 1810, is well known as an annual traditional celebration in Europe. However, one fall day in 1969, the original founder Larimer Square's Oktoberfest, Hertha Thomas- Zagari, began to yearn for her native Germany and decided to have a small "Oktoberfest" of her own which resulted as the initial progress of this grand fest.

Highlighting German attractions, music from national touring groups, performances by international dancers, children's activities, heritage booths selling German goods, splendid décor, an accordion concert, traditional Biergartens, and authentic cuisine, Corporate Night Games, where teams from local businesses compete in the Keg Roll, Pretzel Toss, Polka- thon and plenty of German music and dance by a rollicking good accordion players, rides and midway games, and loads of traditional food and beer, the fest on Larimer Square.

There's no general admission charge, but you'll need tickets: beer and food are about 5- 9 tickets, and Carnival attractions are about 3- 6.

Hours: Sat, Sep 9, 2006 - 11am - 1am.
Fri, Sep 8, 2006 - 5pm - 1am.
Sun, Sep 10, 2006- 12pm - 6pm.
