Opera Colorado

Opera Colorado was established in 1981 by Nathaniel Merrill and Louise Sherman, who came to Denver from long careers at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Famed as one of America's premier grand opera companies, in its 17 seasons, the troupe has staged 40 vibrant operas, and currently averages about three productions a year.

Committed to providing affordable, teaching materials and high- quality programs for Colorado teachers and students that support Colorado Model Content Standards, the Opera Colorado's education and outreach programs have appeared in countless schools and community centers, to help students have a fulfilling educational experience.

Opera Colorado provides current, full- time teachers the opportunity to attend a working dress rehearsal at no charge. Seating is limited. Opera Colorado offers groups of ten or more people discounts on ticket purchases.

Hours: 10am- 5pm, Monday- Friday. (Performance times vary).
