Beginning with the antique cars, but soon expanded to include vehicles of all kind, The Forney Transportation Museum is a well known for one- of- a- kind collection of over 500 exhibits relating to historical transportation some of which are familiar, while others spark the imagination and reflects the passion of collection by J.D. Forney, a Colorado inventor and manufacturer who later decided to exhibit the collection to the public. It also features a Big Boy Locomotive, Denver's only cable car.

In 1981 the Museum also acquired the Denver Wax Museum and some familiar figures populate the museum. The gift shop and store at the museum offers a variety of items and books sure to please historic transportation fans of all ages and interests. The Forney Museum of Transportation welcomes the private and public use of its facilities for conferences, social gatherings, workshops, classes, meetings, parties, and more in an environment that is filled with history.

Fees: Adult , Senior , Youth (11- 15) .50, Child (5- 10) .50, Child (under 5) Free.

Hours: Mon- Sat 9am- 5pm.

Payments: Visa, Master Card.
